764-768 Ninth Avenue (New York City, New York)

USA / New Jersey / West New York / New York City, New York / Ninth Avenue, 764-768
 apartment building, commercial building

A trio of 5-story Neo-Grec residential buildings completed together as a unit in 1881. The facades are faced in brownstone above metal-and-glass ground-floor storefronts. Some of the original cast-iron piers remain at the ground floor around the entrances to the upper floors.

The upper floors have four bays of single-windows on each facade; full surrounds remain at Nos. 764 & 766, but have been removed from No. 768. Each facade has a white metal fire escape (with basket-style landings at the southern two) running down the middle two bays, and the facades are each crowned by a beige metal roof cornice with brackets, modillions, dentils, and panels. The ground floors are occupied by McCoys Irish Pub, Hummus Kitchen, Pure Thai Cookhouse, and Bombay Grill House.
