 kitchen, religious center

4-story Neo-Grec religious mission originally completed in 1871 as one in a row of six townhouses. St. Paul's House has operated as a mission since 1945 with the goals of training Christian workers and serving the poor. They offer food programs for the hungry as well as job training, transitional housing and discipleship programs for a limited number of men. The food programs include a 5-day breakfast soup kitchen and a one day food pantry. Gospel services are held daily.

The facade is surfaced in brownstone. There is a high stoop at the right side, leading up to a parlor-floor entrance with dark-brown painted, fluted pilasters and a hooded entablature, matching the neighboring buildings. There are wood-and-glass double-doors, and a double-window to the left of the entry, with a painted stone surround including a hooded lintel similar to that over the doorway, but smaller. The raised basement level to the left of the stoop has a green wooden door, down a couple steps.

The upper floors have three bays of single-windows with dark-brown painted, projecting surrounds with sills and hooded lintels. The facade is crowned by a black metal roof cornice with brackets and panels. A large, projecting metal cross is mounted in front of the facade, supported by metal beams at the top two floors.
