The Pearl Hotel (New York City, New York)

12-story hotel originally completed in 1948 as a 6-story office building. Originally designed by Horace Ginsbern & Associates, it was rebuilt beginning in 2007, with new floors added on top, a new facade, and was converted to a boutique hotel, opening in 2010. The facade is clad in brown brick The tall ground floor has three bays with glass infill; the main entrance is in the middle bay, while the east bay has a plate-glass window, and the west bay has a restaurant storefront. In the wide end pier at the west there is a metal service door. A stainless-steel canopy covers the ground floor, with a pair of projecting flagpoles.

The upper floors have four bays of single-windows in bays slightly recessed between the piers. The windows are tripartite with white-painted concrete sill and lintels, and herringbone brickwork patterns in the spandrels. There is a setback above the 8th floor, and another to the rooftop mechanical penthouse.

The hotel has 94 guest rooms.
