Cisnadie Evangelical Church, is dedicated to St. Walpurga and was built in the 13 century as a Romanesque basilica with three naves. Undergone many changes and has lost its Romanesque appearance.
After Turkish attack of 1493 the church was fortified by elevation and provision of ramparts of the central tower, elevation of the apse and building two bastions above the two lateral portals. The church was surrounded by three wall belts equipped with defense corridors, towers and bastions and moats that could be filled with water, covered today.
Some of the towers have been preserved to this day: "Keeper's Tower," "Town Hall Tower," "Fat's Tower" "Tower of Sickle Makers," "School Tower" and the tower located in the parish garden.
Fortified Complex is part of the historical monuments list in 2010, code LMI SB-II-aA-12355, with the following objectives:
