Now a private residence, this place was once known as the Hollyhocks Club. Overlooking the river bluffs, this place, hosted by fixer Jack Peifer, was a favorite haven for members of the Dillinger and Barker-Karpis gangs. The facade was significantly renovated in the early 1990s, but the circular driveway and expansive lawn still evoke its gangster-era splendor
