"The powerhouse is located in the north half of the river bed, directly adjacent to the dam proper. The superstructure is a combined reinforced concrete and structural steel building approximately 122 feet long and 59 feet wide. The substructure is of mass concrete on rock and reinforced concrete. Windows are multiple-light steel sash.

In a standard vertical-unit powerhouse design, the interior is divided into the upper "generator room
floor," containing two water-wheel driven generators, and the turbine room floor, containing two Francistype turbines. Of the two units, the Unit 1 generator is now governed by a VOITH governor, a modern
replacement of the original Pelton governor. Concurrent with replacement of the governor, the Unit 1
turbine was rebuilt. Operation is automatic and remotely controlled from the Lower Baker Development."
