During the beginnings of this cordage , zinc was traded from the Morris Canal, nearby MS 4. The Whitlock was built on top of two things, the original Vreeland Farm and an ancient Lenni Lenape 'cemetery'. It is abandoned, and because of that, it has changed to Whitlock Mills. It is located in the Communipaw-Laffayette.
