bar, pub / public house, Irish pub

5-story mercantile building completed in 1869. It has a 2-story storefront, with the top three floors slightly recessed. The ground floor, in black cast-iron and glass, has wall lanterns at the ends, and is covered by a small, sloped, thatch roof. The 2nd floor has four large windows with transoms. Across the top is a signboard just above three projecting circular signs that are held out in front of the facade by arm brackets. At the west end of the 2nd floor is a projecting horizontal bar from which hangs an enormous beer pint.

The 3rd floor has a small terrace in front with a wrought-iron railing. There are two projecting flagpoles at the ends, and two wall lanterns on the piers between the three bays of French doors. A projecting, black metal band course tops the 3rd floor. The top two floors are faced in beige smooth stucco, with three bays of windows in black frames. The facade is topped by a bracketed and modillioned black metal roof cornice, and there is a roof-mounted sign projecting out in front of the facade.

The building is occupied by The Perfect Pint, an Irish pub.
