This Northern Pacific Railroad station was founded in 1885 in Section 9-132-53, Hall Township and named for Thomas DeLamere of Brainerd, Minnesota, a dispatcher for the Northern Pacific Railroad in its early years. The post office was established May 28, 1886. From December 1, 1895 to November 30, 1905 the post office name was spelled DELAMERE to comply with government regulations. The elevation is 1086, and the village reached a peak population of 220 in 1930, declining to just 103 in 1960. The post office, Zip Code 58022, became a rural branch of Milnor March 12, 1965, and closed March 6, 1982.
