Official Designation of Junewani Dam Irrigation Project is "Junewani Dam, D-04019". However local and popular name is "Junewani Lake/Junewani Talav". Junewani Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1985. It is built on and impounds a local Nallah.
