The Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse fire memorial was created by Brian P. Hanlon in 2008 commemorates the December 3, 1999, five-alarm fire at the Worcester Cold Storage & Warehouse Co. located at this site that claimed the lives of six fire fighters. The memorial is adjacent to the new Franklin Street Fire Station built in 2008 over the Cold Storage Warehouse site.
