The Upper Secondary school centre for print and media engineering called Ernst-Litfaß-Schule is a vocational school for graphic business. At its vocational department, printers, media designers and bookbinders take vocational instruction.
Besides, students have the possibility to obtain their school-leaving qualifications for the extended Lower Secondary school, and there are fulltime courses where students can acquire an advanced technical or an "Abitur" certificate. Altogether there are approximately 1500 students visiting the school in the north of Berlin.
In addition to the classrooms for theoretical lessons, there are many computer rooms and a few workshops, e. g. a book bindery, a photographic laboratory, a silk-screen and an offset printing workshop. The "Werkstatt 0305", a small letter press workshop which is also located there, is known for its work against racism and antisemitism.
