MPD makes radar components. i.e. Magnetrons, Klystrons Gunn Diodes, Cavities, complete radar guns, missile components. etc.
Formerly General Electric and before that, Ken-Rad, Kentucky Radio Corp.
Started as Kentucky Electric Lamp Co. in 1899 which was situated on the west side of the park to the north. This was eventually sold off to Westinghouse in 1943, then Philips, then demolished in 2007. The electron tube division, started in 1921 and commenced production at this site in 1925 was eventually sold off to G.E. in 1952, this is what is left. During the 60's and 70's picture and C.R. Tubes were made here as well as Magnetrons and Klystrons.

Ken-Rad operated three other plants in nearby Bowling Green, Tell City and Huntingburg.
