A historic Art Deco clock, with neon lighting, stands at the corner of 17th Street and Broadway. Its renovation and installation were supported by the Lake Merritt/Uptown Community Benefit District. The clock had been located in three different locations in the past: originally located at 1318 Broadway as part of the company Davidson and Licht, then in 1931 it was moved to 20th and Broadway when the company relocated, and then lastly in 1947, the clock moved to its current location at 17th and Broadway.
