This mine is now part of Barrick Gold Bald Mountain Gold Mine, south operations. Barrick is proposing a minor modification to the Alligator Ridge Mine Plan of Operations. This mine was a heap leach gold mine initially operated by Amselco starting in 1979. It has since been mostly reclaimed. Barrick Gold U.S. Inc. is proposing exploration drilling to study the potential of remaining gold reserves. The proposed action is for 18 exploration drill holes, 9 of which would be on pre-existing workings.
