Steubenville Pottery

The Stuebenville Pottery Company was founded in Steubenville in 1879 to make tableware, with a factory located on South Street. In 1925 it built a second plant at the Kingsdale Road site in the area that was to become known as the Pottery Addition. In 1959, Steubenville Pottery closed due to foreign competition and the Pottery Addition factory was sold the next year to Barium & Chemicals Company.
