Minarigwang Market — Around 1950, a few merchants formed a huge marketplace at the center of Suwon, and since then nine marketplaces have been condensed along Suwon's Jidonggwanrae stream into what is now Minarigwang.

The marketplace has 60 years of history, and its name comes from Minari plants {water parsley] that used to grow in great numbers in the region.

In 2009, the arcade facilities were revamped and upgraded as a part of a traditional market preservation and revitalization project.
