store / shop, historical layer / disappeared object, commercial building

2-story Renaissance-revival mercantile building completed in 1910 as a residential garage to a design by Cross & Cross. The ground floor is clad in rusticated grey stone with a central glass door flanked by large, square show-windows. A band course sets off the 2nd floor, which is faced in white stucco with three bays of windows. The band course at the base of the 2nd floor is interrupted in the center by a narrow grey stone balconette with balusters. The three windows each have grey stone surrounds, topped by peaked pediments at the end bays and a rounded pediment at the center bay. Grey lettering spelling out the name of the tenant "STEFANO RICCI" is attached to the facade above the center window. The building is crowned by a grey stone balustrade. Stefano Ricci is a boutique for menswear and luxury furnishings.

It was demolished in 2021.
