 restaurant, steakhouse, commercial building

5-story commercial building completed in 1869 as a townhouse. It was later remodeled with a new facade of limestone above a 2-story storefront. The ground floor has rich wood paneling framing piers of multi-colored marble as well as two glass-and-wood doors flanking a central, multi-paned, 4-section French window. A large, black, gold, & red signboard tops the ground floor. The 2nd floor is limestone, with four bays of 3-over-5 French windows in dark wood framing; the outer bays are separated by thin pilasters of the same marble as on the ground floor. Projecting banners are mounted at each end.

The 3rd & 4th floors have large, 5-over-3 windows in white aluminum framing, and the 5th floor has three pointed-arch window openings with molded hoods. A metal balcony fronts these windows, and the facade is topped by a stone coping, stepped down at the ends where angular, projecting brackets descend. At the center is an ornamental shield with fascia, wings, and a crown. The building was previously occupied by Uncle Jack's Steakhouse.
