  • This is a dirty, old, coal-fired power plant, grandfathered and exempt from modern pollution regulations like the Clean Air Act. The plant is owned by Midwest Generation, which is a subsidiary of Commonwealth Edison, part of the same group in which you will find Exelon and PECO Energy.
  • Midwest Generation is part of Edison International, headquartered in California. As part of deregulation, ComEd sold this and all non-nuclear generating stations.
