The Top Crop II wind farm (ie: Top Crop phase II) is located about 12-18 miles east of Streator, Illinois, immediately to the east of Top Crop I and entirely in Grundy County. Commissioned in 2010, it consists of 132 GE Energy 1.5 MW wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 198 MW. 7 of the turbines are model 1.5sle (with 77m blades) and 125 are model 1.5xle (with 82.5m blades).
The name of the project, Top Crop, recognizes the quality of the corn-producing counties in which the wind farms are constructed.
