173-foot, 15-story Art-Deco office building completed in 1926. Designed by Buchman & Kahn, it is clad in dark-brown brick above a 2-story stone base, with elaborate stone ornament at the top floors. The ground floor is painted brown, with a black granite water table. The east facade on the avenue has three wide bays and a smaller south bay, where the main entrance is - there are brass-and-glass double-doors and a brass-and-translucent glass canopy. The north facade along 49th Street has three wider bays. The main bays all have plate-glass show-windows, except for the middle bay on the avenue, which has wood-and-glass double-doors into the storefront. There is also a service door at the west end of the north facade. The storefront bays all have angled awnings, above which are metal grilles in a cross-hatch pattern. The 2nd floor has wide windows, with single-window above the main entrance at the narrow bay; there are also some metal louvers at the west end of the north facade.
The upper floors end bays with single-windows, and narrower windows in the middle section of both facades - seven windows at the east facade and nine at the north. They have simple stone sills and are slightly recessed between uninterrupted brick piers. The 13th floor has angular projections at the piers, with horizontal stone bands. Below the windows the end bays have three small, triangular projections and the middle bays each have two, while above the windows there are longer projections, creating a serrated look to the floor. Framing the end bays at the top is additional ornament of spiky geometric shapes, marking the setback above the 13th floor.
The 15th floor also has matching angular projections, minus the carved shapes at the end bays. The projections on the piers extend just above the roof line. There is a tall mechanical penthouse at the south end of the roof, topped by an octagonal water tower enclosure, also clad in brick, with round-arched openings facing north, south, east, and west.
The south elevation has three bays of single-windows at the front edge, and the west elevation has four at its front edge, with another bay of narrower windows at the south end. The ground floor is occupied by Joseph Abboud menswear.
