water, wetland
The Dallas area needs a new supply of water the size of Lake Lavon every 50 years. These wetlands divert water from the East Fork of the Trinity River to accomodate this need. The water is eventually pumped through a pipeline all the way up to Lake Lavon. The wetland area is stocked with 1.2 million plants.
