  • I am one of the survivors, who hid in the cellars of the hospital during the second world war
  • In 1950 my father, mother and myself returned to Berlin. I was 4. I was born in Shanghai where my parents escaped to in 1939. We lived in a small apartment in the hospital for two years before coming to the USA. I remember playing in the court yard which seemed to me to be very dark and scary. I never knew the history of the Jewish Hospital until I started to write a book on my parents journey. I would love to hear from anyone who can add to the story. contact me at: sterndaddy@comcast.net
