This location was formerly known as "IAS Valea Calugareasca, Ferma 6 Chitorani". In the 70s, some 50-60 hectares of vinyards were planted in the Romalo region, further expanded under the supervision of Engs. Aurelian Chiricioiu (deceased) and Nicolaie Barbu to become what is now known as Ferma 5. Significant input and support were offered by 3 technicians: Octavian Iordache, Constantin Misca and Wilhelm Eling, all deceased.
