Located at 144 2nd Avenue, Veselka was founded in 1954 by Volodymyr Darmochwal as a newsstand which has since grown to a full restaurant. It is now owned and operated by Volodymyr’s grandson, Jason Birchard. The restaurant was featured in "Trust the Man" (2006) "Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist" (2008), "Ocean’s 8" (2018), "Billions", and "Gossip Girl".
