The Tender, being called a prophet and the son of Apollo and Melia, was certainly a river, and as the source Melia was held captive by Apollo on the hill Ismenio. As currently the river that descends from sources called Ismenio, Tender had to be an ancient name of the river Ismenio. The Tender flowed into the flat currently north of Thebes, who formerly had to be a lake.
