  • what are those black pits? gross..looks like pimples!!
  • Probably mining pits or natural oil deposits.
  • These are just natural solt lakes, one can see salt masses on the coasts of some of them. Black color was got by optical filtering :)
  • This 'Place' of the Gobi dessert is only visible at z=7 & 8. Looking closely at the dune patterns is quite spectacular!
