Siva temple

This is an anicent siva temple. Historically it is known as "cheekati koneru". As per history the Kondaveedu Reddy Rajas have been deceived by the temple Priest at the time of war with the Muslim rulers who came to invade the fort. The priest sided with the Golkonda Nawab, a well is dug on the way to the Darshan of Lord siva ie known as lake in the dark or Cheekati koneru. War commaders have been eliminated by this kind of deceipt and the direction less soldiers were then attacked thus ensuring victory for the enemy.
