Pallavas constructed a temple at Gudur and it's name is Alaganadha swamy temple, a vaishnava temple. It is in east street. Around this temple the town spread. The diety is vishnu in standing posture, very lovely to look at. that is why the deity is named as Alaganadha Swamy. my house is near the temple,Brahmin street. catch me at yeluru.prakasam@sbi.co.in

Gudur,the thy name of peace and treasure. Trade & commerce always change with pace in gudur keeping it on the dais of particular business all the time.Minerals,lemon,aqua culture etc, are major businesses of this area.Gudur doesn't get effected by floods & droughts.Climate is moderate throughout the year.No history of worst rivalry,factionsim,naxalism(expect the 7/9 attack on ex-cm N.janardhan reddy),terrorism.A gudurian enjoys the privilege of peaceful life than else people in the world.However,the infrastructure availibility and development is like a snail walk, disappointing the enterprenours.Wish all of u.

This is my native place. I studied here from 3rd standard to 5th in municipal elementary school during 1966.Shri Vijaya Ratnam was Head Master. I enjoyed mid day meals and milk provided at school. I used to participate in bajans of Lord Shiva temple by the side of my School. My class mates were Katam Reddy Shridhar reddy, G,D,Laxmaiah, Muralikrishna. I watched movie Lethamansulu with my friend Muralikrishna. Later I did my Highschool in ZPMP School from 6th standard to 8th. Gurram Radhakrishna was head Master. He took a lot of initiative to educate students and teach english. He instructed class teachers to pick up top students from each class and conducted special classes in which He taught english with his ideas. Anybody know about him pl tell more. Politicians I remember Vakati Ramanareddy, Pasupulati siddaiah Naidu, Kota Reddy etc.

My native place is GUDUR.Gudur is a place where MICA is famous.And it is also a Junction.Iam lucky to born in GUDUR.
