Fort Cornwallis Lighthouse was built in 1882 was formerly known as Fort Point Lighthouse under the British rule. During the renovation in 1914 it was renamed as Penang Harbour Lighthouse. The 21 meters high minaret is made from white iron frame with depth filed covering of 16 nautical miles deep.

  • Fort Cornwallis Lighthouse was built in 1882. Now it is open free for public.
  • I think the lighthouse is a restricted zone and is not open to the public...most definitely not free. There's even a nominal admission charge to enter the fort itself.
