Pomonok is a sub-neighborhood in the very southern part of the greater Flushing neighborhood/district, itself in the New York City borough of Queens. Its boundaries are (proceeding in a clockwise direction) The Horace Harding Expressway to the north, beyond which is Queensboro Hill; Fresh Meadow Lane/Utopia Parkwy to the east, beyond which is Utopia; 71st./Jewel Avenue to the south, beyond which is Hillcrest; and Parsons/Kissenia Blvds. to the west, beyond which is Kew Gardens Hills.

It incorporates two large public housing developments Pomonock Houses name which was built in 1952 on the former site of Pomonok Country Club and Electchester Apartments which is a co-operative housing complex completed in 1949. "Pomonok" the name comes a Native American word for eastern Long Island, and means either "land of tribute" or "land where there is travelling by water".
