Paramount Blvd overpass (Montebello, California)

This overpass was heavily damaged on December 12, 2011 when a gas tanker truck caught fire on the eastbound lanes of the 60 freeway and parked under the bridge. The fire was intense causing the concrete to explode and melting the re-bar. The bridge is being torn down because of it's weakened state and possibility of collapsing. The 60 freeway was closed for 3 days after the fire creating havoc for the metro area as it is heavily traveled.

  • It's ether that's the new one or it was just renovated but it looks like for some reason that it was never demolished.
