Whittier Narrows is a large park. In the two parks (one north and the other south of the Pomona (60) Fwy. In the north half of the park are picnic areas, open fields and a golf course. In the southern half of the park large lakes and shaded picnic tables fill the park.
The park also ties into the extensive Los Angeles bicycle trails along the Rio Hondo river trail and San Gabriel river trail.
