Schuylerville is a sub-neighborhood within the larger Throgg's Neck neighborhood, itself located in the extreme south-east corner of New York City's Borough of the Bronx. Its general boundaries are described by East Tremont to Waterbury Avenue to the Bruckner Expressway in the north, then the Throgs Neck Expressway to its junction with the Cross Bronx Expressway (CBE)in the east, then back along the CBE to its bridge over Westchester Creek in the south, and finally up the creek as far as East Tremont Avenue again in the west.

The area is patrolled by the NYPD's 45th Precinct, which is located in the heart of the neighborhood at 2877 Barkley Ave., and by the FDNY's Engine 89 & Ladder 50 firehouse located right on the Bruckner Expressway which effectively bisects the neighborhood.
