  The Lancaster Train Station is a giant old monster of a building. On the ground floor are the bus companies. Up the stairs is the ticket office, a series of old benches, and, if you are there at the right time, a stand that sells coffee and very sticky buns (get extra napkins). Through a doorway from that part of the station is a long tall room with stairs leading down to the platforms (one for eastbound, one for westbound).
