Van Nest is a working class neighborhood geographically located in the east Bronx borough of New York City in the United States. The neighborhood is part of Bronx Community Board 11. Its approximate boundaries, starting clockwise are as follows: Rhinelander Avenue to the north, Bronxdale Avenue the east, to the Amtrak Northeast Corridor railtracks to the south, to the Bronx River Parkway and the Unionport Subway Railyard to the west.

Van Nest development generally predated Morris Park by 20+ years as the racetrack dominated most of Morris Park until the 1910's. Morris Park Avenue and White Plains Road are the primary commercial thoroughfares through Van Nest. ZIP codes include 10460 and 10462.
