Laconia is a sub-neighborhood within the eastern part of the larger Allerton neighborhhod itself located in the eastern part of New York City's Borough of the Bronx. It has a population under 25,000. Its boundaries, starting from the north and moving clockwise are: East Gun Hill Road to the north, the IRT Dyre Avenue Line to the east, Allerton Avenue to the south, and Bronxwood Avenue to the west. Laconia includes the Eastchester Houses.
