  Thats my native village. This village has prepared Peoples Bio-diversity Village in the year 2008 and has a Bio-diversity Management Committee. Community Forest Rights under Recognition of Forest Rights have been given to this village over 912 hectares of Forest Land. This village is now empowered to manage its own forest resources ushering a era of people managed forest in India. Recently Transit Pass (TP) has been issued to the gramsabha for transportation of NTFPs from this village to anywhere in India. This village is home to people from four religion (Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and Siks) belonging to 22 casts and tribes. In spite of this this human diversity the people has made it possible to claim community rights and manage its own forest.
