  • Outville is unincorperated, but is a quaint Licking County village located on Outville Road and Blacks Road.
  • Outville has never been an incorporated village. It was originally named Kirkersville Station, but because there was already a village three miles south named Kirkersville, the Central Ohio RR stationmaster, James Outcalt, either in a moment of great wisdom or extreme vanity, decided to name the town after himself, calling it Outville. Since its inception in the early 1850s, Outville has been a part of Harrison Township. Today, it is a bucolic little hamlet in Licking County, Ohio, which comes alive several times a year during various events, including the Outville Power Show, a major vintage truck, tractor and heavy equipment show, other antique truck and tractor shows, and the biggest Christmas parade in Licking County, held annually for many years on the 2nd Saturday in December. One of the highlights of the parade is the hot meal afterward, featuring homemade ham and bean soup and cornbread, prepared in large cast iron kettles over open fires, and served free to those attending the event. Several restored historic buildings are located in the town, including the 1899 Outville Baltimore & Ohio Railroad depot which is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Outville Hay & Grain Co., an early feed mill.
