  In the old days before outsiders tried to impose an outside union on the employees you could just walk past the gate, into the room for tours, through an unmarked door, up the stairs and directly into the Hospitality Suite for your beer. In the 70s the bar tenders cut Mines students off at 2 beers. So we students would go in about 2:00 PM for a first beer, get a second just before the bar tenders shift change at 2:30 PM, hide around a corner to do calculus homework or some such, then go back for the next two beers. Once I did this short tour with two 7th Day Adventists who did not drink but they did not mind passing their beers on to me.
