USA / New Jersey / West New York / New York City, New York / Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas), 1155
 office building, skyscraper

511-foot, 40-story modernist office building completed in 1984. Designed by Emery Roth & Sons, it is clad in dark-grey granite. There is a small plaza on the south side of the tower, with a central, recessed, 3-story entry with glass doors. The southwest and southeast corners are angled, and there is a projecting 6-story base section with rounded corners on the east and north elevations. Stainless-steel and plate-glass storefronts line the ground floor of this base, with another entrance at the center of the east facade. The floors above the base have are regular grid of dark-tinted windows.

The main tower, square in plan with angled corners, rises up with the same cladding and windows as the lower section. There are a couple other set-back floors on the north elevation, to the west of the tower. At the top floors, there are double-height windows of blue glass at the four main facades; the angled corners have continuations of the smaller dark-tinted windows. There is a loading dock at the west end on 45th Street.

Besides the lobby, the ground floor is occupied by a TD Ameritrade bank branch, Dill & Parsley restaurant, and Gumption Coffee.. The building is occupied primarily by Perkins Coie and Jenner & Block. Alterations were made by STUDIOS Architecture for the Durst Organization.
