  • i need your help trying to find out the name of the bank that was in eastover shopping center in the 1970's.
  • The bank that was there from the beginning was Citizens Bank of Maryland. It was freestanding in the 70's. There was also a bank in the shopping center itself in the early 60's but closed when the freestanding bank opened up. That bank was located 3/4 of the way down the storefronts. I opened my first savings account at Citizens in 1963 and my first checking account in 1971. I worked in the shopping center from 1970-1973 through high school. I know every square inch of the way it used to be. I grew up across the street from Eastover in Glassmanor.
