5-story (reduced to 1 floor on Broadway) mercantile building originally completed about 1870 as a warehouse fronting Trinity Place, and a separate warehouse structure fronting Broadway completed sometime in the mid-1800s. By the early 1880s, the two were connected by a 2-story extension in the middle of the block. In 1900, the extension was also raised to five floors, and a connection was made to the two neighboring buildings to the south (which have a similar history).

The Broadway side was reduced to one floor in 1955, with a new storefront designed by Horace Ginsbern & Associates for its sole tenant, the Chock Full o' Nuts coffee shop. It is currently occupied by Cafe Exchange. The facade is a modernist grid of clear glass framed in grey metal.

The Trinity Place facade remains five stories tall, with a modernized ground floor, and upper floors clad in red brick. Each has four rectangular windows with small stone sills. A metal fire escape runs down the center of the facade, which is capped by a modest cornice with narrow modillions.
