With 624 acres surrounded by the Hoosier National Forest and Lake Monroe, Ransburg Scout Reservation is one of the midwest’s premier camps. A 15-minute drive from Bloomington, IN, the camp offers a wide range of opportunities in a beautiful, hilly, hardwood forest setting in one of the most beautiful areas of Indiana. It has two newly built lake-front condominium-style buildings, which house a total of 36 each, and a beautiful lake-front retreat lodge, which can house 20. The dining hall seats 550 and is available from September to May. It also has one of the midwest’s best rope courses and climbing towers, which is ideal for team building activities. Parking and primitive camping are available for up to 1,000 people. During the summer Ransburg offers the largest Boy Scout summer camp program in the midwest, with over 5,000 campers each summer.
