In addition to the 1,200-megawatt Lincoln Combustion Turbine Station and 640-megawatt Mill Creek Combustion Turbine Station, Duke Energy has 23 individual combustion turbine units in the Carolinas, totaling 584 MW, in five locations. Four of the sites are existing coal-fired stations. A coal-fired station existed at the fifth site—Buzzard Roost—until 1974.
