Duck's Nest is the 2nd oldest residence in Palm Beach after Flagler's Seagull Cottage. Duck's Nest was built in 1891 by Henry Maddock whose descendants still own it. “Duck’s Nest” came from the affectionate English-style term “Duckie,” that Henry called his wife.
