Redoubt Puurs

This redoubt was one of the 32 fortifications belonging to the 95 Km. long outer defending girdle around Antwerp.
redoubt was build in 1911 between fortress Bornem and Liezele.
It was armed with a 75mm cannon
1914 heavily shelled by artillery of the Germans.
During the inter-war years the redoubt is rebuild as infantry reinforcement
