As the name implies that the present temple is the remaining of ruined/demolised one. although the temple has the Lord Siva Lingam as a main one, Vinyagar is considered to be best worshiped and prayed here. It belongs to the village Muthur. each and every hindu festival in the village starts from here meaning that villagers don't start anything without worshiping this God. Vinayagr Chadurththi is celebrated here in a very grand manner and free food is also provided to the devotees during this celebration. Pillayarappa- Ulagam serumm sirappudan kaappayaaka---
