Estate home designed c. 1909 in the Georgian Revival style by Charles A. Platt on originally 99 acres of land for John Teele Pratt, Sr {attorney, financier, publisher}. Pratt served as a member of the Carter, Ledyard & Milburn and Fosburgh, Pratt & Osborn law firms, partner of Charles Pratt & Co. and Grayson, M.P. Murphy & Co., and New York Evening Post, and director of International Acceptance Bank, Thrift of Brooklyn, and Finance & Trading Corp. He also served as a trustee of Pratt Institute.

The estate featured a playhouse, garage, stables, laundry building, and farm complex designed by Platt. He also was responsible for the formal garden pavilions and landscaping. During the presidency of Herbert Hoover, the estate served as the summer White House. It also had its indoor tennis court was moved to Flower Hill due to a steel shortage during WWII.

The estate is now adaptively reused as the Glen Cove Mansion Hotel and Conference Center. The interior and exterior of the was used as a filming location for White Collar S01 E10 "Vital Signs" where Peter and Neal visit a medical conference for an international aid nonprofit. The front driveway, back pool, and entryway foyer are featured prominently in the scenes.
